Recently rediscovered Air Video HD after using the older version of the app many years ago. I bought both the Apple TV and the iOS version last night. It's literally almost exactly what I was looking for with the exception of a few minor bugs and a few small areas it could be improved.
Most of all, I want cover art! But let me say that I HATE apps like Plex that scrape cover art from external websites, because all too often it is WRONG for me. Maybe it's my 'obscure' British comedy series, I dunno.
I seriously would love a very simple option where I can include a JPG of the cover that sits alongside the movie file. For example…
My_Obscure_TV_Show.mkv
My_Obscure_TV_Show.jpg
Simple. Done. I'm totally OCD enough to go out and find the cover for *every single one* of my shows and movies. It's something I only need to do once, and I know it would be 100% correct. This also gets around having to read any cover metadata from the file itself.
Please tell me why this is a bad idea.
Thanks!

Any update at all? I just want the simple cover art option where it looks in the video file directory for a .jpg file and display it. Seems like that would be fairly easy coding! I use "Preview.jpg" for my cover art (An apple front row carry over).
It's being worked on (no sarcasm intended).
