I tried to use Air Video HD, but subtitles are handling is awful:
1. Only *.SRT files are detected as external subtitles
2. Encoding auto detection does not work with Polish language (CP1250 encoding)
3. After you download a movie to a device you lose embedded subtitles in a MKV file and in my case one external subtitle file was downloaded from a server - it's shown on a subtitles list as English (embedded). Even if I select it, I cannot set encoding manually, because there's no options available for it. I can only set preferred language. Default encoding in app settings does not change anything. In a result I see subtitles with wrong encoding!

P.S. Nice to have feature: link the same movies on a server and a device so that downloaded movie that is launched from server view is not transcoded and downloaded once again. Additionally app may check if there's any new subtitles available on a server before playback.

Hi,

1. sub/ssa/ass/smi are also autodetected. what else is missing?

2. autodetecting CP1250 is notoriously problematic, but there is global setting where you can select CP1250 for all subtitles

3. when downloading file with subtitles, the selected subtitle (whether it is external or in embedded) will be muxed as subtitle stream in downloaded file. the encoding needs to be selected before downloading.

1. txt files are ignored
2. This settings does not work with downloaded movies to a device
3. It would be nice to have all subtitles muxed and have a possibility to change encoding.

Hi, is there any chance to fix this issue with CP1250 encoding? Selection of CP1250 in global settings didn't help...
