x32 with hardware acceleration activated.

W7 ultimate x64 - 4 GB RAM - Core i3 (last generation)

2 users at the same time.

Memory (UI) : 225.500

External encoder : 5.220

INCREDIBLE !!!!

I´ll post more information after some hours of usage, but it seems to work much better than the last versions.

Update :

3 users at the same time :

- 1080p DTS original to 720p conversion remote wifi

- BDRemux to 1080p local wifi conversion (conversion forced) - with forced subs

- Avi original to 720p remote wifi

Memory (UI) : 648.500

Memory external encoder : 5.220

Working perfect 3 users at the same time

Update 2:

After disconecting BDRemux conversion, memory goes down to 225.500 again inmediatly (before this version it was slowly going down and sometimes it didn´t went down)

Well, question is, whether the memory usage gets back down after transcoding sessions are closed.

x64 with hardware acceleration activated.

W7 ultimate x64 - 8 GB RAM - Core i5-2415M  2.30Ghz

2 users at the same time.

- BDRemux DTS converting to 1080p (10 Mb) - Remote wifi

- BDRemux DTS converting to 1080p (10 Mb) - local wifi

Memory (UI) : 952.300  cpu: 30-35

External encoder : 5.140

Some lpicture jumps in remote wifi , solved transcoding to 720p. With the change:

Memory (UI) : 825.600  cpu: 35-40

External encoder : 5.160

After stopping transcoding in x64 version :

Memory (UI) : 69.384  cpu: 0

I don´t know if it is the value it has to have, please confirm me if it´s ok.

The memory went down to this value inmediatly after stopping reproduction

Thanks

That seems okay. The memory usage can get up slightly even when no transcoding, but it should not normally exceed 150 megabytes when idle.

x32 version also reduces memory to 55.600 after stopping transcoding so it seems everything works well.

Do you recomend me using x64 or x32 version ??

Thank u very much for your help during these days !!

Also, several hundred of megabytes for transcoding session is normal, especially when using QuickSync and transcoding high bitrate videos. I'll look into possibilities of reducing the overhead, but this is less important compared to leaks (memory that doesn't return when transcoding is finished).

Generally, 64bit version will be faster, but it may consume more memory (although not significantly more). The idle memory usage can range from 34 - 100 megabytes, depending on which plugins are loaded at the moment, etc.
