I just installed this beta in my Mac with Mavericks, fully updated and using Air Video HD in my iPad 2 latest version as well and it doesn't load the details of the videos.

With MP4 files it looks it works fine but with MKV after some time I get the error "File has caused server crash" I tried with more than 10 files and these files in my Mac they open well with VLC.

Hi,

please send logs from Air Video Server HD (Create Archive from Logs) to support(at)inmethod.com. If the server is crashing the archive should contain crash logs.

It is strange though. When looking for the leaks I generated thousands and thousands of thumbnails without a single crash, so I'm really curious what is causing the crashes in your case.

Tried with large files , mkv , during the lasta 4 hours , 3 users at the same time.

Version x64

It seems to work good , and the memory returns free when finished , so in my case , by the moment , it works without memory leaks.

Thanks

The error I get it in the iPad but Air Video server looks working as it doesn't disappear from the menubar.

So, the crashes were caused by method call that is only available on OS X 10.10. I've upload build that fixes this.

beta4u1: still crashes with the sample I sent you and original source, now with an error that pops up on the ATV4 "quicksyncencoder fatal error timestamp mismatch".  The memory leak is 90% gone, which is a great step forward, but still had some memory not released even after I'd exited on the ATV4.

Cosmoxi, could you maybe provide larger sample that triggers the quicksyncencoder fatal error timestamp mismatch error? I specifically put the error to detect problematic files early, apparently that part works :) hopefully with larger sample I should be able to make the encoder more resilient. Unfortunately the QuickSync encoder turned out to be the most problematic piece, because it needs very specific workaround for bug in intel drivers which causes random device failure errors.

Also, there's no size limit in the mediafire file drop.

I tried to upload a full file yesterday but I think it failed.  I'm trying again.  If you did get it successfully let me know and I'll stop trying to upload it again. :)

Still having some random problems with RAM in x64 version.

I´ve tried x86 version and it´s working fine.

kings1204, there shouldn't be any difference between 32 and 64bit version (maybe apart from situation where different directshow decoders are loaded for the 64bit version). What kind of problems with RAM? Can you be more specific? Is any of that reproducible?

I have the file. I can reproduce the error, but not memory leaks so far. It's a fairly broken file though so I'll play with it some more. There are also some A/V sync issues in the broken parts, I'll look into that as well.

yes, it is quite broken.  As long as AirVideo keeps playback going through the errors and doesn't leak a bunch of memory I'm happy.  In the meantime I've moved my antenna up into the attic for better signal so hopefully I won't have files filled with such errors anymore.

It shouldn't matter. But if you find any difference (i.e. one leaks one does not), I would really want to know about it.

In beta 4 version x64 had memory leaks sometimes but x32 worked well for me.

Gonna try x32 first and the i´ll try x64.

I´ll post the results as soon as possible.

Thanks !!!
