In last 4 hours, I keep trying this app (AirViden for Apple TV), no matter how I change my setting, the app keep showing "connection to xx-PC"!  And I can't even cancel it!

I tried turn off Firewalls, set Manually Connection, Pin my own IP address, still does work.

http://localhost:45633/  Returns:

Air Video Server HD 2.2.2
ServerId=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx   shows the server works fine.

It works ok with my iPhone, everything is fine. Just cannot connect it on my new Apple TV.

BTW, these apps cost me almost $10, and I can't even file a refund !

Do you Administrator or Tech know how to deal with this issue? Or I'm want my money back.

Try setting a user/pass on the server. Then delete the server on the ATV, then try adding it again with the Pin and new User/Pass.

Are you sure the ATV is on the same network as the Air Video server?

On a side note - when was version 2.2.2 of the server released? I can only find 2.2.1 for both Mac/Windows....

Positive, They are in the same network, and because of this, the Server list won't allow me to add Server with PIN. I can add the Server with PIN after I delete it on ATV. However, it will automatically change into "PC available on local network" when I start the Server. You may see it on this photo.

Hey, I saw they release 2.2.1 on the Forum, but you can download a 2.2.2 version on their website, for both Mac and Windows.

You may need to check the "network.log" (click "show logs in explorer").

There's a lot of personal data in it (external IP, server PIN etc.) so you should edit it if you want to share it here.

I'm using different devices test it.

PC--iphone,  works !

PC--ATV, doesn't work !

MAC--ATV, works !

This error Caught exception: I/O error: Socket operation attempted on non-socket (repeated 30 times) would suggest that there is wrong with system network stack and system is abruptly closing socket. I have never seen anything like that happening on OS X. Does the problem persist after you restart your Mac?

I'm having this problem as well, but I see this whenever it does disconnect:

10:18:59 ERROR 00 airconnect.session AirConnect.cpp:663 - - - - - - Did not received heartbeat from client in 30 seconds, considering the connection dead.
10:23:35 INFO  00 transcoding.codecUtil CodecUtil.cpp:129 - - - - - Intel QuickSync hardware is not available

Not sure how to fix this?

Do you have any third party firewall installed on your computer? Also, have you tried restarting the router? If this over WiFi or ethernet?

I do have a router, but other than the built in windows firewall, I didn't install anything extra unless norton antivirus doubles as a firewall as well. Good question.

And I have an Airport Express, it's restarted everytime there is a change to it. I've also powered it off and on when I reboot my cable box, but not in the past two weeks.

Ethernet, through powerline.

And what error message do you receive on your device? I assume it is Apple TV?

Apple TV and it's a Bonjour error, it states it's finding an IP address from Bonjour even though I basically have to go out of the app and go back in order for this to work.

Keep in mind, this happens on WIFI as well.
