Yes (you need to activate Early Access in Air Video HD).

Yes (you need to activate Early Access in Air Video HD).

OK thanks for the input. Activated on iPhone app for fee. Bought Chromecast app. Tried streaming from 2 different servers, via iPhone. I see the FireTV option, select it, appp starts on Chromecast but after 30 seconds, iPhone stops streaming and returns to playing on itself. So what do I need to do next?

I Have an iPhone 5 with Air Video HD. I have 2 Media Center type computers (1 Mac 1 PC). I want to stream the media from those 2 computers, via my iPhone using Air Video HD to an HDTV that has a Chromecast attached USB/HDMI.

Based on prior comment above "Yes (you need to activate Early Access in Air Video HD)", I did so "activate Early Access" in the Air Video HD app on the iPhone. Then I think I realized I had to stream it to an app on the Chromecast, otherwise that output source did not show in the AirPlay list in Air Video HD on the iPhone. So I found and bought the Air Video HD app for FireTV, which should be the same as Chromecast I would think

So, now I have an app in my Chromecast app list on the HDTV, and when I play a video from either media source via Air Video HD on the iPhone, the Air Play list does include FireTV (assuming it means the same as Chromecast).

If I select that, it does start the Air Video HD app on the HDTV within Chromecast as if its going to play the stream but it never starts. And after 30 seconds, the iPhone starts playing the video local again.

There is no Air Video HD app for Fire TV. FireTV is not the same as Chromecast. Those are two different devices. Air Video HD does not support FireTV.

Also, what do you mean by Chromecast app list on Apple TV? Chromecast is a small device that looks like usb key (except it is plugged in your TV's HDMI port). It has no app list.

In that case, you should see Chromecast button in lower left corner of the playback screen, using which you should be able to see and select your Chromecast device. Do you see it?

(it's different from the Airplay button. The Airplay button is only for Apple TV). If you have both Apple TV and Chromecast, you should see two buttons next to volume control. One for Chromecast and one for Apple TV.

I assume the 1 button is for Apple TV? Do you see the Chromecast button in other apps, i.e. youtube?

Well, that's not good. Is the Chromecast connected to same wireless network as your iPhone?

In that case try restarting everything (Chromecast, router and iOS device). Until you see the chromecast icon in apps (youtube, Air Video HD, etc) you won't be able to stream to it.

Sorry, I can't really help you with this. Maybe this will

until you get chromecast working properly (so that you can see the icon) it will not work with Air Video HD.

On all fronts it seems to be working flawlessly - until I tried this. You have no clue what to do or try to trouble shoot beyond "reboot" all? You didnt even ask about settings inside Air Video HD.
