It would be great if we could download subtitles directly from within air video hd. Or even select subtitles from another folder (and another name than the file name).

+1 for this.

Although I understand that this feature is hard to implement.

Some sites pack these files in .zip folders.

All API's are different.

But the XBMC-subtitle function is pretty sexy,

3 preffered languages, multiple providers possible, automatic download if preffered language from 1st choice provider is available.

Would love this to happen....
Media player classic implementation is also pretty elegant. If you could implement something similar it would be perfect.
Right now i need to download subtitles from my computer, save them in a folder and then stream to the ipad

This is meanwhile a standard feature on many players. Would be good to see this one added.

Media player classic (mpc).
While the video is played, hit "d" to get the subtitle download screen right from the application

That would be a killer feature for me.

opensubtitles.org has an API and you could look up how MPC-HC does it. Or, for example, this C# wrapper: http://sourceforge.n...penSubtitles.cs

Love the new version btw.
Any plans to implement this feature request?

For me, It's the only thing holding Air video HD from being the perfect streaming app.

Admin, please just take a look at the APP in Apple Store called: Infuse  or infuse Pro, it has download subtitles, meta data and more, can't you just do it to Airvideo? It seems to be fairly easy. I hope the the subtitles and meta data (Movie Art) will be added soon as I am starting to like Infuse a lot and telling all my friends about it.

+1 for subtitles. Some players already have this feature.
