Are you guys/girls thinking of running airvideo on a nas?

I own a Synology DS214play that does transcoding on the fly. It does work with there own movie app, but airvideo is mutch bether :)

You can do this using debian-chroot package and "airvideo" linux server.

google it for details.

For now, there is no airvideo HD server for linux. you must use old version "airvideo" for this.

I'm positive that we can also run airvideo HD sever on synology when linux server version came out.

Note that, DS214play might have not enough CPU power for transcoding 1080p videos.

OK, But the ds214play has a special chip that handles the transcoding. Cant that chip be used in stead of cpu?
