AirVideo works great locally on my lan and used to work perfectly from my phone over cellular.  Now I cannot connect remotely and the "Test Connection" always comes back with an "Unable to connect to verification server" error.  UPnP shows that it succeeds and I have tried shutting off the firewall on my pc to no effect.

Log From a Start/Stop of the service and attempt to Test Connection:

UPDATE: It appears that my internet provider (COMCAST) was blocking the default port of 45633.  I set the AirServer to listen on a custom port (1024) and things are working again.

SUGGESTION:  I assume that the "Test Connection" uses a tool on an InMethod server to verify that our personal service is available on the internet.  The message "Unable to connect to verification server" implies that its THAT server that is unavailable, but in this scenario it seems that it was really the fact that the InMethod server could not reach back to the personal AirVideo service on my machine.  It would be helpful to know separately if your SERVER is down or if it cannot reach back to our personal AirVideo service.

Hi,

actually, the message "Unable to connect to verification server" would mean that the Air Video Server HD was unable to connect to our server, that does the verification. It doesn't mean that the verification server was unable to verify the your server.

The message that you would get if Air Video Server HD is able to connect to verification sever but the computer is not accessible from the verification server is "Sorry, your computer does not seem to be accessible from internet.".

I'm not sure why comcast would block port 45633 though.

Hi, I'm having the same problem.
It won't load, and won't connect to server. Then it says enter verification login and password, I don't know what these are? What do I do please?
Cheers :)

Hi,

it seems that your server is switched to multi-user mode. You can configure user accounts in Air Video Server HD properties (on your computer).

Created an account to say I had the exact same problem. Changing from the default port to something else works. I do believe that Comcast (I have the same internet provider here in the NorthEast) is blocking for 45633.

Hi,

actually "Unable to connect to verification server" should mean that Test Connection was unable to contact our server, not that the verification failed. The message "Sorry, your computer does not seem to be accessible from internet." should be displayed when the test fails, but server was still able to connect to verification server.

I'm not sure why it behaves like that in your case. You should be getting "Sorry, your computer does not seem to be accessible from internet." instead of "Unable to connect to verification server". It could be a timeout issue maybe, we'll look into it.
