Hi, before I start I would like to say this new product is a great evolution from standard AV.

Anyway, I have AV HD installed and it works fine as far as I can tell :)  however, upon shutting down my pc I keep getting this error.

Application popup: ExternalEncoder.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.

Any idea why this popup error happens when I shutdown the pc ?

I have AV HD set to "start at login".

cheers

EDIT:

I posted a ticket with stack dump attached.

I'm suffering from the same issue. Everytime I shutdown the same error message pops up.

This is especially problematic when remote rebooting the server, as this error stops Windows (in this case 8.1) from rebooting after the RDP service has quit. The same error occurs on Windows 7.

Please fix asap.

I wasn't able to reproduce this so far :-|

I'm not sure why. Does it happen on every shutdown?

Hi,

I have the same issue and it happens everytime I shutdown or restart...

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

Hope this can be fixed.

It certainly can be fixed, the hard thing for me currently seems to be reproducing it.

Well if it helps, everything was working fine until the last update. After that update, thats when this popup issue started occuring.

Just did a clean install of Win7 64bit. After installing Airvideo HD I got the same problem. I'm running Avast free antivirus, if that can help narrow the problem down. Happens on every shotdown/reboot.

Add one more user that has this issue.

So far the app has been working well except for this issue.

But for my case, this happened only after I downloaded the latest batch of Windows updates.

I'm on Windows 7 x64 Home.  Driving me nuts seeing the error every time I shut down.

Any help/developments so far?

Maybe this will help--I closed the server (as in, quit) before I shut down the computer, and never got this error.

But every time I shut down with the server running, I get this error.  Same thing for restarting.

I never get this with the older Air Video server.

Hope this helps.  Anything else you need please let me know.

Exactly the same problem. Win7 sp1 64bit

On close, get this error "ExternalEncoder.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application"

Can you guys try beta4? We wasn't able to reproduce the issue but did take some preventive measure this might help.

Okay. I've been using the beta 4 for the last few days, and I don't get the error anymore. It's fixed. YAY. Great work & thanks.
