Hi,

for 2 years, i'm a proud french owner of Air Video SD, and recentely, with HD version.

My question is: when i download video to my ipad, it takes almost the same size. As a 700MB video on my computer, it will take around 650MB in my ipad. How could i setup the app's settings to reduce the size of the video and save memory to my ipad ?

Also, i'm a bit lost with some settings. What are the differences btw Conversion profiles and conversion rules.

Hi,

conversion rules determine whether air video converts the video and audio streams in file. when it does, conversion profile determines the size/quality ratio.

It is likely that in your case Air Video decides to keep the original video stream, which explains the similar size. You can either change this behavior by editing conversion rules, or as a simple alternative go to Settings and enable "Force conversion".
