I'll check on this. Please ping this thread tomorrow. We should have everything in place for the initial build.

Note that Air Video Server HD for Linux is lot more complicated to build compared to Linux version of the original Air Video Server. It also doesn't use ffmpeg (with the exception of certain codecs and wtv demuxer)

Update: Sorry for the delay. The code is complete for initial release, but it is targeted for the 2.1 server release, which is still very much work in progress. Rather then waiting for 2.1, we decided that we'll backport the changes to our 2.0 branch instead, hopefully it shouldn't be much work. We'll start doing this on Monday.

Ever though about making use of apples Testflight project?
Maybe you could have a public beta testing of the app with the new 2.1 server suport. And in this specific case, beta testing of the Linux Server and the app itself.

Like this you can have two versions at once, one stable and then the test/beta version..

Just a thought!

We don't need testflight for the server. The client will work with both server version. The only issue is that the 2.1 branch can not currently even be passed as alpha, it's quite unstable. That's why we can't make 2.1 server releases yet.

Very much looking forward to seeing this available! If there's any possibility of beta testing to get this sooner I'd be happy to provide useful feedback. ;-)

I would like to betatest this aswell, running Ubuntu 14.04 x64

Any Update?

Running Linux Mint and this is the final piece of software that I'm missing right now to switch over completely from Windows to Linux. I'm so tired of Windows nowadays ;)

I sure hope so :) If everything goes right we should have 2.1.0-alpha1 available for OS X and Windows tomorrow, and the Linux build should be the very next thing.
