come on Admin, please ad the cover art finally. Without this air video browsing is just half the fun.

Sorry guys, we've been really busy with 2.0. Once we get the release out (it's currently waiting for approval), improved metadata support (including thumbnails) will be the next major objective.

Any peak on what the proposed implementation might be? Thanks!

It would probably be a bit premature right now :)

Is there any further development on this? Using the existing metadata that is already incorporated into the file would be ideal.
Haven't seen any further comments since September of '14.

I've been using Air Video since version one. When the Air Video HD was released, I thought I didn't need the upgrade, but was ready to pay for the new App, if the inclusion of meta-data would be implemented. Since the feature was never implemented, I kept using the last version of Air Video, until today.

Now that I could download Air Video HD for free and try it out, I found the App to be much better than the previous version and the early access feature to be very useful. Ergo, I was more than happy to also make the in-app purchase.

What's still missing though is the inclusion of meta-data (cover-art etc). It's really funny why this topic hasn't been addressed for almost a year now. Is there any particular reason why the feature can't be implemented?

Apart from that, thank you for such a great app.

Big +1 for this feature! Created an account just to show my support.

Ditto! I'd love to see enbedded art, then folder art, then cached online art as described in this thread in that order. Taking time to embed art in file types that support such yields best performance and accuracy.

I would also like this feature but for a different reason:  using thumbnails taken from the video itself can result in spoilers! (e.g. which players are not eliminated in competitions, etc).

If I could put an AlbumArt.jpg in the folder (or other solution as mentioned above) I can hide the spoilers.  :)

With the release of the Apple TV, I think this feature would enhance both client apps, especially the Apple TV client.

This may be overreaching, but It would be nice if folders also displayed the artwork metadata of the first item in the folder.

I 100% agree. You currently have the best player available in the appstore. Now would be the perfect time to fuel the fire  ;)

Yes, it would be great for the ATV to look for cover.jpg in any directory and display this cover art. Thanks!!!! 😃
